Nearly 400 food items donated!
Well Done and Thank You to Rixton-with-Glazebrook residents for kindly thinking of others during this very difficult time.
Due to their kindness, approximately 400 non-perishable food items, including dried goods, tinned food, shampoo and more, were donated to the ‘Drop & Go’ initiative organised by the Rixton-with-Glazebrook Community Plan Group.
All donations have been passed on to the organisers of the Irlam and Cadishead Foodbank, who in turn will ensure that they reach those who are most vulnerable and in need of help.
Liz Thornley, Steering Group Lead for the I&C Foodbank said: “Wow that’s fantastic. Thank you so much for the wonderful idea and great execution. Our experience shows us how kind and generous local people are and we are very grateful.”
It is wonderful to see and hear of so many people who are working together for the benefit of their local communities.
Keep up the great work everyone!
