Guided walk popular with walkers!
The footpaths of Rixton-with-Glazebrook were well trodden by the 25 walkers and 5 dogs who joined in the guided walk on Wednesday 2nd August. Several in the group were just visiting the area and so were delighted to be able to join other walkers, enabling them to safely explore the local footpaths. Fortunately the evening weather was kind, showing the beautiful rural scenery off at its best…that is until 10 minutes before the end of the walk when the heavens opened!
John Eccles, who led the walk, has also written 5 circular walks that explore the many footpaths around the Rixton area. These can be downloaded from this website by clicking on the ‘Footpaths Around Rixton’ page link https://rixtonwithglazebrook.net/locations/footpaths
Alternatively walk leaflets can be picked up from local facilities in Hollins Green or Glazebrook or by visiting the Hamilton Davies Trust or Cadishead Library.
