Don’t miss this year’s Carnival!

The Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival will be held on the Village Green in Hollins Green on Saturday 23rd June from 11am to 4pm.

Entry is free to the Carnival; a family fun day out with attractions for all ages.

For entertainment there’s music from Cadishead Band, Manchester United Youth Foundation Choir and Radio Wishing Well, along with a variety of dance from Dance Rhythm, Warrington Wolves Fusion and Michele’s Z-style and belly dancing groups. Mad Science will also be providing a show in the main marquee.

Elsewhere on the Green there will be inflatable fun with Hungry Hippos and Whack a Wall, a variety of birds of prey from Wild Wings and a hands on science booth from Mad Science.

For the young ones we have fairground rides, a treasure hunt and competitions.

For those who are mechanically minded, come and enjoy a varied display of vehicles and machinery including vintage lawnmowers.

Lots of local groups are also getting involved and they’ll be setting up stalls to entertain and inform.  Local businesses will have their products for sale on the day, so there’s chance to grab a bargain.

All your refreshment needs will be catered for; there will be a tea and cake tent, a sandwich stall, a bar area provided by Gin Meister, barbecues, ice cream van and sweetie stalls.

Why not bring your dog and enter the Fun Dog Show run by Rixton Dog School – your dog could win one of the many categories, including ‘Waggiest Tail’!
