Cubs keeping busy as usual!
The Autumn term started with lots of outdoor activities for the Cubs and leaders.
Six Cubs demonstrated superb team work and effort at the District annual Cub Survival competition and had great fun striking fires, cooking sausages and making a shelter among the trees. At Lymm Dam Cubs worked their way around the orienteering course in the dark and showed some terrific navigation skills. Two Cub teams got very muddy at the Cub Mudder obstacle course but showed great resilience and teamwork – all have said they are keen to do it again next year!
Nine Cubs were invited to the Silver Awards celebration, where they had fun with the slack line, zip line, camp fire and other fun outdoor activities. Cubs attended the special ‘We Will Remember Them’ service at St. Helen’s Church and will be attending the District Songs for Christmas event.
Cubs still have spaces available for young people aged between 8 and 10 – if interested contact Cub Leader Sue Lowndes at [email protected].
