Cubs have been busy out and about!
Boys and girls from Hollins Green Cubs have been busy working towards some of their badges including:
- Outdoor Challenge badge
- Personal Safety Activity badge
- Teamwork Challenge badge
They’ve been taking part in some exciting and interesting activities, including lots of fun and adventures at District Camp and a sleepover at the Scout Centre. They learnt about staying safe on the internet and social media at Padgate Library and also visited the Police Museum in Warrington, where they tried on police uniforms past and present and visited the Police Station in Pendleton.
Fun activities have included archery, making dumplings to celebrate Chinese New Year and hiking over the rural fields of Hollins Green.
Nine Cubs formed a guard of honour at the Parish Civic Sunday welcoming the Parish Councillors, Mayor of Warrington and other dignitaries and invited guests into St. Helen’s Church for the Remembrance Sunday Service, which included Education Sunday. Cubs joined the dignitaries for brunch afterwards.
In February nine Cubs took part in the District Art & Craft competition. Whilst they didn’t win, they were very creative building a model on the theme of Pirates, working well as a team and using materials effectively. Leaders were very proud of them.
