2022 Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival

The Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival, a family fun day out with attractions for all ages, will be held on the Village Green in Hollins Green on Saturday 25^th June from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free to the Carnival.

For entertainment there’s music from a Steel Drum Band and Radio Wishing Well, along with a variety of dances including Scottish Dancing and Michele’s Z-style group. Elsewhere on the Green there you can try your luck on the Demolition Ball inflatable, learn about a variety of birds of prey with Wild Wings, or even walk with the Alpacas.  There will also be circus performers and the chance to ride in a pedal powered Stagecoach.

For the young ones we have fairground rides, a magic show, a treasure hunt and Pre-School are running a stall involving buckets and sand!

For those who are mechanically minded, come and enjoy a varied display of vintage vehicles.

Lots of local groups are also getting involved and they’ll be setting up stalls to entertain and inform.  Local businesses will have their products for sale on the day, so there’s chance to grab a bargain.

All your refreshment needs will be catered for; there will be a tea and cake tent, a sandwich stall, a bar, barbecues, ice cream and sweetie stalls.
