Operated by Northern Rail – Irlam Station provides regular train travel between Manchester and Liverpool.

Irlam Station House and its surrounding environment was transformed in 2015 and now offers the following new modern facilities:

  • Ticket Machine
  • Café Bistro providing fresh food and drink
  • Meeting space
  • Heritage Hub including historical artefacts, artwork and photos
  • Signal Box and Signal Yard exhibit

  • Heritage boards depicting former local industries
  • Green space and relaxing external environment
  • Station Art Park that includes quirky 3D art pieces
  • CCTV
  • FREE car park
  • Cycle hub
