Guided circular walk – Aug 2017

Following the popularity and success of their Winter Walk, the Rixton-with-Glazebrook Parish Plan Recreation & Leisure Group have organised another 3 mile guided circular walk, this time in the evening.

Taking place on Wednesday 2nd August the route will take in the rural footpaths and lanes within the parish and also the natural beauty of the Rixton Claypits Nature Reserve. Join others in safely exploring the area – everyone is welcome. There is no need to book – simply meet at the Black Swan car park at 6.30pm prompt.  Strong footwear, weather appropriate clothing and insect repellent are recommended (just in case!).

Taking approximately 1.5 – 2hrs the walk will end back at the Black Swan pub – very handy should anyone wish to quench their thirst afterwards!

The walk will be led by walker and parish resident John Eccles, who is also the author of the published guided walks ‘Footpaths around Rixton’. Click here for more details on these https://rixtonwithglazebrook.net/locations/footpaths-around-rixton/

Should you wish for more information you can contact John Eccles on 07971 580113.
