Cubs receive Chief Scout’s Silver Award

Cub leaders are proud to announce that 8 of the Cubs received the highest award – the Chief Scout’s Silver Award – receiving their certificate from the Assistant County Commissioner for Cubs. Well done to all!

Cubs have been busy as usual engaging in lots of fun activities including the following:

  • A weekend of high impact adventure and fun challenges at the International Chamboree Camp, Tabley. Activities included snorkeling and jumping off high walls onto inflatable mats as well as the usual scouting fun of lighting fires, climbing walls and slacklines.
  • An excellent visit to the Mosque in Eccles, as part of their World Challenge Badge, where Cubs witnessed evening prayers first hand; a humbling experience.
  • District Cub Survival Competition – whilst the team of Cubs didn’t win, they had a terrific time showing off their fire lighting and cooking skills.
