Don’t miss the 2019 Rixton-with-Glazebrook Carnival

This year’s Carnival, a family fun day out with attractions for all ages, will be held on the Village Green in Hollins Green on Saturday 29th June from 11am to 4pm.

Entry is free to the Carnival.

For entertainment there’s music from Cadishead Band, Warrington Pipe Band and Radio Wishing Well, along with a variety of dance from Dance Rhythm, Warrington Wolves Fusion and Michele’s Z-style group.

Elsewhere on the Green there will be revolutionary fun with Zorbs, a variety of birds of prey from Wild Wings, a rope bridge and hands on activities, including paint-a-pot.

For the young ones we have a fairground ride, Raspberry Fields pony rides, an inflatable assault course, a treasure hunt and face painting.

As a first, Whitfield Light Railway are coming along this year, so all the family can take a train ride at the Carnival.

For those who are mechanically minded, come and enjoy a varied display of vintage vehicles and machinery.

Lots of local groups are also getting involved and they’ll be setting up stalls to entertain and inform.  Local businesses will have their products for sale on the day, so there’s chance to grab a bargain.

All your refreshment needs will be catered for; there will be a tea and cake tent, a sandwich stall, the Drunken Donkey gin stall, barbecues, ice cream and sweetie stalls.

Why not bring your dog and enter the Fun Dog Show run by Rixton Dog School – your dog could win one of the many fun categories.
